He is carrying out different issues including business as a matter of generating income but also to motivate and inspire young people and entrepreneurs at large. He is one of the few young entrepreneurs dared and took risk to make sure his dreams comes true through self employment (entrepreneurship). Shelby also is an Author of books and has written a book called "Change your Subconscious and accomplish'' and the book is available in some books stores in U.S but also in different website including Amazon.com. Apart from that, he is also a public speaker and also he is selling t-shirts branded by him. Far most, Shelby is doing another business called " Credit restoration Business''.

 @SHELBY PARRIS  ;To start I was born and raised in New Jersey of the United States. I would say I’ve always had a knack for entrepreneurship. I come from a bloodline of leaders, bosses, managers, and captains; I always was one to work hard towards my goals and the older I got, the more I learned and the more I applied to life and my businesses.

 #Respicius Francis ; . What are you dealing with in U.S?
 @SHELBY PARRIS  ;I consider myself a serial entrepreneur. I have a growing credit restoration business, a clothing brand, a book, and am a public speaker. I recently just finished my second book so I’ll be releasing that soon and just got back into training youth basketball teams for some more extra money.

  #Respicius Francis ;Why have you chosen that kind of business?
 @SHELBY PARRIS  ;My clothing brand came first, that came after I got the tattoo of what’s now my logo on my arm and my tattoo man Curly and I said I should put it on shirts and sell it. My book and speaking came at the same time since those are pretty much connected, but I planned on writing the book for about a year before I wrote it, I knew I had a message and story to tell that was going to change lives and wanted to be that impact. Same reason why I invested into credit restoration; it was an area that I saw my community struggles in, and saw this as another way to make a change.

 #Respicius Francis ;. Can you be employed and at the same time carrying your business?
 @SHELBY PARRIS  ;I do still have a part time job working for a before and after school program, it’s only part time so I have a lot of time to schedule and make calls during the day for my credit business. Then my book just sells on Amazon. Making and delivering clothes is the most time consuming. And when it comes to speaking engagements, I’m always prepared so when I get booked I just have to show up.

 #Respicius Francis ; . Challenges are part of any business, are you facing any?
 @SHELBY PARRIS  ;Business will always be up and down when you’re first starting out so that’s my biggest struggle. Just have to keep marketing my businesses and growing my brands.

  #Respicius Francis ;  . Are you getting any support from the U.S government?
 @SHELBY PARRIS  ;My only connection with the government is paying my taxes.

 #Respicius Francis ;. How much did you used as a capital to start your business?
 @SHELBY PARRIS  ;Each business was different but I was able to start with the most being about $300 and made it back right away.

 #Respicius Francis ;. . Advertisement is part of any business, How do you advertise your business? @SHELBY PARRIS  ;Social media is definitely the best source. You can connect with so many networks around the world and market any and everything with individual pages.



 #Respicius Francis ;. Is the U.S environment condusive/supportive especially for youth?
@SHELBY PARRIS  ; It’s a tossup. Really it’s just comes to a matter of how educated you are, what you have, and the early support. If you market yourself heavy and draw a lot of support early your business can grow fast. You can be an eight-year old girl with a cupcakes and if she’s drawing in enough traffic your business will grow fast, especially if it’s quality.
 10. To which extent is unemployment a problem in U.S especially for youth? It’s definitely not easy for the younger generations because so many positions are already taken by baby boomers. I can’t speak for all the youth but I recommend everybody to have multiple streams of income, especially the younger generation.


  #Respicius Francis ; . What about loans, is it easy for young/upcoming entrepreneurs like you to get loans?
@SHELBY PARRIS  ; I can’t say, I made sure to create my own capital and grow my businesses from my pockets rather than taking out a loan.

 . #Respicius Francis ;  How does the U.S government help youths who are unemployed?
 @SHELBY PARRIS  ;Nothing other than not taking out a bunch of taxes for students.

#Respicius Francis ; Do you know anything about the country of Tanzania?
@SHELBY PARRIS  ; NO

#Respicius Francis ; . What are your future expectations in relation to your business?
 @SHELBY PARRIS  ; I will continue to keep investing back into my businesses and growing them as fast and efficient as I can

Jinsi ya kutafuta Masoko ya biashara yako


UTANGULIZI
Kuwafundisha washiriki kufikiri ki- masoko na kuelewa baadhi ya mbinu za masoko kitu ambacho kitawafanya waelewwe maana ya maneno “soko na masoko” pia utafiti wa soko na kuyafanyia kazi  katika biashara/miradi yao.

Soko ni nini?
Soko ni utaratibu au mtindo  uliowekwa kwa mujibu wa kanuni /sheria  kumwezesha mfanya biashara kuuza bidhaa zake kwa wateja/walaji. Husaidia kupanga nini uuze,nani umuuzie au jinsi gani watu wanavyoweza kujuakitu gani unauza,hivyo kukuwezesha kuzalisha kile ambacho kinahitajika  katika soko sahihi.

Mafanikio katika biashara hutokana na mwonekano wa kipekee  wa bidhaa au bidhaa unayozalisha kukidhi matakwa ya walaji au wateja pia, kuweza kutambua  aina fulani ya watu ambao wangependa kununua bidhaa yako na kuweza kueleza  bayana ni kitu gani, watu wategemee kunufaika kwa kunua bidhaa zako kati ya kundi hili la walengwa.

Kwa kifupi soko ni MTEJA Wa bidhaa na huduma uayozalisha

Soko lako ni;

  • Wateja wako ulionao kwasasa
  • Wateja uaotarajia kuwapata baadae
  • Wateja uliopoteza na untarajia watakurudia tena

Masoko ni nini?
Masoko ni shughuli yoyote ile anayofanya mfanyabiashara ili kuimarisha biashara yake.

Haitoshelezi tu kukaa kungojea oda.

Mfano wa shughuli hizo ni;

  • Kuelewa matakwa ya wateja wa bidhaa yako
  • Kupanga bei ambayo wateja  watakuwa tayari kulipa na itakupa faida
  • Usambazaji wa bidhaa au huduma kwa wateja wako
  • Kuwavutia wateja wanaume bidhaa au huduma yako

UTAFITI WA SOKO
1. Kwa nini tujifunze kuhusu soko?
a)  Mahitaji (demand)

Waswahili husema ‘unaweza kumlazimisha punda aende mtoni lakini huwezi kumlazimisha anywe maji’inamaana bidhaa zako kuwa wakati soko halihitaji bidhaa zako huwezi kulazimisha bidhaa yako inunuliwe

b)  Bidhaa sahihi – usijaribu kumuuzia kitana mtu mwenye kipara bali muuzie kofia

c)  Kufuata mkumbo-ni vema kutofautisha bidhaa za kuuza kwa wateja

2. Unahitaji kufahamu nini kutokana na soko lako?
Maswali yafuatayo ndio yakusaidia kufanya utafiti wa soko lako

Wateja wako ni akina nani?

  • Wako wapi
  • Mahitaji yao ni nini?
  • Wanapendelea nini kutokana na bidhaa zako
  • Ni mara ngapi na kiasi gani a wanacho nunua?
  • Wana nunua wakati gani?
  • Ni kiasi gani cha pesa wako tayari kutoa?
  • Ni jinsi gani bidhaa zitawafikia wateja
  • Washindani wako ni wapi?
  • Ubora wa bidhaa zao na bei zao vikoje

NB; kutafuta majibu ya maswali haya kunaitwa utafiti wa masoko

3. Jinsi ya kufanya utafiti a soko
Mbinu zifuatazo zinaeza kutumika kufanya utafiti wa soko la bidhaa au huduma unazozalisha:-

  • Kupitia Kwa wateja (kusikiliza maoni yao, kuachunguza na kuwauliza maswali).
  • Kuwauliza maswali watumiaji mbali mbali wa bidhaa zako ( nini wanachohitaji na wasicho kihitaji, mapendekezo na nini kiongezwe)
  • Kwa marafiki na ndugu
  • Kusoma kwenye vitabu, magazeti, kusikiliza radio na kuangalia televisheni
  • Kupeleka bidhaa zako katika maonesho ya biashara
  • Kuangalia biashara za washindani wako: bei, ubora, tofauti za bidhaa,, kuonesha bidhaa, na huduma zinazoambatana na bidhaa zako
  • Onesha sampuli ya bidhaaa au tembezasampuli ya bidhaa na waulize watu maoni juu ya bidhaa zako

4. Jumuisho la masuala ya masoko

B-Nne  katika masoko
  • Bidhaa
  • Bei
  • Banda
  • Bango

a)  BIDHAA- Bidhaa ni kitu chochote kinachozalishwa kwa ajili ya kuuza au kutumia.

Sifa za bidhaa
Bidhaa nzuri ni ile inayoridhisha na inakidhi matakwa ya soko. Kwa mfano:-

  • Ubora(muda, malighafi nzuri, iliyotengenezwa vizuri)
  • Yenye kuvutia ( rangi,mapambo,usafi, utengenezaji mzuri)
  • Mtindo (umbile zuri, inahusiana na thamani,saizi)
  • Ya kisasa (Inayoendana matumizi ya mtindo uliopo- fassion)
  • Tofauti na bidhaa za ashindani

b) BEI- Bei nithamani ya bidhaa au huduma ambayo mteja yuko tayari kumudu au kulipia. Kwa hiyo bei hujumuisha Gharama zote na faida au Bei huiumuisha gharama za ununuzi, gharama za uendeshaji na faida.

Mambo muhimu ya kuzingatia wakati wa kupanga bei.
  • Ghrama zote ka jumla (gharama halisi)
  • Bei za wapinzani
  • Mahali ulipo 9 kiasi ambacho wwateja wwako radhi kulipia kwa kutegemea uezo wao kifedha)
  • Msimu (kwa mfano bei kubwa za vinyago msimu wa watalii au bei ndogo za feniture wakati wa mvua )
  • Kupata faida ya kutosha kuendesha shughuli bila matatizo

c) Banda au mahali pa kufanyia biashara
Banda ni mahali muhimu sana  katika kuuza bidhaa au huduma. Mahali pa kufanyia biashara  panatakiwa pae na sifa zifuatazo:-

  • Rahisi kufikiwa na wateja
  • Usalama, usafi
  • Sehemu ya maegesho
  • Kuwa karibu na huduma nyingine muhimu kama vile usafiri wa daladala, sehemu za vinywaji, vyakula,umeme n.k
  • Yenye mwanga wa kutosha
  • Rahisi kuonekana
  • Huduma hutolewa saa zote

5. Upangaji mzuri wa bidhaa mahali pa biashara.

  • Bidhaa zipangwe kwa seti
  • Mahali pa wazi panapoonekana kiurahisi
  • Weka bidhaa chache katika makundi madogo madogo
  • Weka bidhaa za aina mbalimbali
  • Panga sehemu yenye mwanga wa kutosha
  • Sehemu safi
  • Tumia picha au katalogi

6. BANGO AU UVUMISHAJI
Uvumishaji unajumuisha shughuli kadhaa  ikiwa ni pamoja na uvumishaji  wa mauzo,utangazaji,uhusiano wa jumuia na mbinu za kuuza. Shughuli hizo zinasaidia kuwavitia wateja, lakini hasahasa zinawapa wateja imani na bidhaa zako kuhakikisha kuwa hawanunui kwa mtu mwingine.Jambo muhimu la kuzingatia katika uvumishaji wa bidhaa ni lazima uwe mchangamfu na kuwa macho kuvutia wateja.

Kuvumisha mauzo (sales promotion)
  • Punguza bei yako kidogo ili wateja waone kuwa ni ndogo. Mfano:-  shs 999.00 badala ya 1000.00
  • Weka bei maalum wakati wa sikukuu mbalimbali
  • Panga bidhaa madirishani ilizionekane kwa nje (display)
  • Uza bidhaa zinazoendana. Mfano muuza maandazi anaweza kuuza chai au muuza sukari anaweza kuuza majani ya chai
  • Utangazaji

Radio, magazeti,tv,sinema,mabango,kadi za biashara za mwenye biashara9business card)na sifa zinazotolewa kwa njia yam domo na watu watu waliokwisha kutumia bidhaa hizo.

  • Jinsi ya kutambulisha bidhaa, eleza faida za bidhaa na ubora ake
  • Kumthamini mteja
  • Eleza faida ya bidhaa yako kabla hujataja bei
  • Jaribu kuuliza juu ya mahitaji ya mteja ili uweze kumwelekeza kwenye bidhaa itakayomfaa.
  • Kama mteja akiuliza bidhaa ambayo huuzi , unamwekeza zinapoatikana.

MKAKATI WA MASOKO
Kuwa na mkakati wa soko utakusaidia kufiki malengo yako kupitia kuweka lengo kuu/kubuni bidhaa/huduma mchanganyiko na kuchukua SWOT ANALYSIS(maeneo tunayofanya vizuri,maeneo ambayo hatufanyi vizuri,fursa tulizonazo, na changamoto zinazotukabili) katika bidhaa /huduma.

MAELEZO YA MALENGO YAKO
Maelezo ya malengo ni nini? Ni maelezo ya jumla  juu ya kila unachotarajia kufikia,au lengo kuu la shirika. Hujulikana pia kama dira ya shirika . hivyo ni vema kuwa na wazo ambalo unaweza kuliweka kama kitovu cha kukuwezesha kuona unapoelekea  kibiashara. Kulingana na kukua kwa biashara yako waweza kuendeleza malengo yako kuipa nguvu dira yako

Lengo lako lazima liwe dhahiri / bayana
  • Ni nini unataka kutimiza?
  • Kwa nini/ sababu gani ya kutimiza?
  • Nani atafanya nini?
  • Ni wapi utafanyia kile unachotarajia?
  • Kipi kinatakiwa kufikia lengo lako?
Malengo yako lazima yaweze kupimika.

  • Kwa kiasi gani?
  • Vingapi?
Malengo yako lazimayawe ya kufikiwa.
  • Ya juu Sana kisi cha kushindwa kufikia malengo yako?
  • Ya chini Sana kisi kwamba malengo yako hayaleti maana?
  • Ni muhimu kuweka malengo yanayokubalika lakini yenye kutamanisha.
Malengo yako yawe na uhusiano na kile unachotaka kufanya

  • Tuzo nitakayoipata baada ya kufikia malengo itazidi gharama (faida)
