GOOD NEWS## IMA Entertainment Adds To Roster Signing Simone Brown and Anthony Smith Committed.

 BY gospelflava.com
Anthony Smith and Fully Committed.
IMA Entertainment CEO David Brown continues his quest to build a roster of artists that represent Gospel music at its best.  In addition to breakout artist Alaina Rose, Brown recently announced the additions of Simone Brown and Anthony Smith and Fully Committed.
Bridgeport native Simone Brown came to know the Lord at an early age and developed her musical gifts in her local church. Her innate ability to interpret and personify a song was instantly recognized by those who heard her, opening various ministry opportunities as she carried the message to the masses.  Simone has shared the stage with both local and national Gospel artists. Recording opportunities followed, particularly with Phil Perry, Natalie Stewart of Floetry and most recently with Kevin Monroe & Devotion’s latest disc produced by the late Edwin Hawkins.
“I believe this is God’s time for Simone”, stated David Brown, “and I am very grateful that IMA gets a chance to take her incomparable music ministry to a greater level.” Saved, a new single produced by in demand producer Will Brown and music director DJ Melodic Brown (JJ Hairston, Deon Kipping, Joe, Erica Campbell) is being prepped for release at the beginning of September.
The sheer joy of Choir music is celebrated in the presentation offered by Anthony Smith and Fully Committed.  This lively and energetic ensemble brings added depth and dimension to the scripture mandate of making a joyful noise unto the Lord. Embracing their mission, they endeavor to touch lives and impact people to have a deeper relationship with Jesus, glorifying God in music and in daily life.
Anthony Smith prayed and sought the Lord before calling together a group of singers to form a new choral music aggregation.  God placed his approval on their endeavors, and since their inception in 2009, Fully Committed has blazed a trail, traveling from churches to auditoriums crossing the region and performing with a venerable list of Gospel music royalty.  They are set to take their rightful place as a reckoning force in Gospel music for years to come. David Brown comments on the choir’s presentation, “The artistry and ministry of Anthony Smith and Fully Committed is second to none.  This is what the world has been waiting on.  I know that they are poised to make a mark in the Kingdom for the Glory of God.” No More Chains, their breakout single, hits digital outlets in September.

#Dr. David J. Wallace is the Founder and Chief Awakening Officer at Awakening Minds, LLC. He's a native of Belle Glade, Florida, where he discovered his passion for education while in high school through tutoring and volunteering. Dr. Wallace comes from a family of educators and life-long learners, and attributes his success to being raised in a family with high expectations. Despite being raised in a single family home, Dr. Wallace didn't allow the "single-family" narrative and statistics impact his ability to become successful.

#He spent his younger years learning life-lessons from his grandfather in exchange for reading lessons. Dr. Wallace made a commitment to social justice and eradicating the opportunity gap, so that no child would be robbed of the chance to learn to read like his grandfather. With that drive, he became one of the first students in the state of Florida to graduate with an associate degree from Palm Beach State College one week before graduating from high school through the Dual Enrollment program. Dr. Wallace learned early about the power of perseverance and dedication.

“Thank you so much for your leadership this summer. You truly were the “Captain of the Ship” and set us off on a successful and meaningful course. It was also the best professional experience I’ve ever had. I knew from the first session you led that this summer was going to be transformative for me – that, for the first time in a long time, I was going to learn and develop as an educator and coach. Indeed, you provided a model for me that I’ve longed to find in the education world and one that I aspire to replicate. I thank you for sparking that passion in me by showcasing yours each and every day.”

 Biography
Anthony Smith and Fully Committed is a music ministry birthed out of the Old School vs. New School Choir Challenge created by Vincent Shields of Calvary Temple Christian Center where Bishop John R. Thompson is pastor. This event was planned as fundraiser but turned out to be so much more. Young people from different cities and churches came together and in just four rehearsals under the direction ...of Anthony ministered on June 27, 2009 and it was clear from the first song “Heaven” that this was a choir that had to go on beyond the Choir Challenge.

With the encouragement of the Old School director Vincent Shields, Pastor Edward Edmonds & Bishop John R. Thompson, After much prayer, Anthony did what God placed in his heart and continued on with the New School Choir. On Monday August 3, 2009 the New School Choir had their first rehearsal. Before Anthony could even establish an official name for the choir, he began receiving invitations to sing and before long in prayer God gave Anthony the charge and the name. Anthony Smith and Fully Committed. Our mission is to draw young people into a deeper relationship with Christ through this awesome music ministry and to glorify God in song and lifestyle

Read a biography of Anthony Smith who is CEO and Founder of Anthony Smith & Fully Committed band From (U.S.A),He is Motivate and inspire young people

Author :  Respicius Francis  \

Anthony T. Smith, Sr.Anointed, talented, amazing, this young man with the heart of David has conquered, defeated and overcome many of life’s situations and has now been set apart to be the great man of God that he was called to be. Preacher, teacher, singer, worship leader are all just a few titles that could be combined with his awesome talents to astound others in his presence but none could compare to being husband, father, son and friend.
Anthony T. Smith Sr., was born on November 3, 1984 in Bridgeport, CT to Sherrilyn Smith and Paul Johnson. He attended Bridgeport Public Schools where he graduated from Warren Harding High School.
At the young age of thirteen, Anthony accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on April 24, 1998. One night while praying in his room, young Anthony was filled with the Precious Holy Spirit; his turning point on a journey that would forever change his world and ultimately his life’s journey

He served at St. Luke UFW Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. Jesse Polite as an usher and he later became the director of both the Junior and Mass Choirs at the tender age of twelve. On Sunday, September 21st, 2008, God’s special plan for his life was made known as he joined Calvary Temple Christian Center where he served under Bishop John R. Thompson, Sr. There he would become a Praise & Worship Leader, lead the Youth Choir and The Voices of Calvary choirs simultaneously and later became Youth Pastor.
On November 4th, 2006, God saw fit to bless this man with an amazing woman. A holy union set forth on love, kindness and support of each other’s ministries. A special bond like none other, a commitment that God has shined upon and smiled from the heaven’s with. God blessed Anthony, with Lady Techè Smith. Through this union, Anthony and Techè have two amazing, talented and gifted sons, Anthony T. Smith, Jr. and Avery J. Smith.
Trusting in the Lord with all of his heart, he was inspired to found “Anthony Smith and Fully Committed”, his community choir. Years of uplifting and sharing the good news of Christ through music and song, encouraging others to worship and be uplifted and pursue the good given talents and gifts that are within them.
Anthony currently serves as an Elder at the Encouraging Word Church, under the leadership of Pastor Larry Zackery.
Special is not the word. Blessed is an understatement, but relevant in the body of Christ is the term that we can say about this phenomenal man of God who is going forth on a mission to inspire, uplift and improve the lives of individuals on a daily basis. Anthony Smith a man on a mission a Man who is on the move!
Favorite Scripture: “Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” – Jeremiah 1:5

Opinion | For Till, justice delayed better than justice forever denied

Duvalier Malone, Guest columnist

The Department of Justice notified Congress in March that they had reopened the Emmett Till murder case after Carolyn Bryant disclosed that her testimony was falsified. Jerry Mitchell reports. USA TODAY
The year 1955 was one of the most important years in American history. This was the year 14-year-old Emmett Louis Till was kidnapped from his home and brutally murdered by two white men in the state of Mississippi. Supposedly, Till had whistled at and made sexual advances towards one of the men's wives, Carolyn Bryant Donham. Last year, 83-year-old Donham admitted that she lied.

Images of Emmett Till's body rocked the nation in 1955, sending social and political shock waves that continue to reverberate throughout our society to this very day. The two men who committed the murder, Roy Bryant and his half-brother J.W. Milam (now both deceased), were acquitted by an all-white jury in one of the most egregious displays of injustice in an American courtroom. Years later, both men admitted to the murder but were never retried.
In the ensuing years, many have struggled to cope with the great injustice that was done to Emmett and the injustice done to his family, those courageous survivors whose entire family line has been marred and mutilated by racism, just as young Emmett was marred and mutilated by those two racist men who were motivated by nothing but their hatred of African Americans.
For many years, I have joined with the Till family and many others who believe justice has long been overdue. I have held rallies both in my home state of Mississippi and in my new home, Washington D.C., calling for government officials to do the right thing.
We are energized by the news that the U.S. Justice Department has finally reopened the investigation into the racially-charged murder of young Emmett. I welcome this news and I am hopeful justice will prevail.
While I celebrate this moral achievement of our justice system, I also feel saddened because Emmett's mother, Mamie Till Mobley, who fought the hardest for justice for her son, didn't live to see this day. She passed in 2003, and while I did not know her, I can only imagine that she would have experienced tears of joy to know that all of her hard work had not gone in vain.
I am strengthened to know that the rest of the Till family will finally get some semblance of closure. I've witnessed for many years as the Till family survivors have fought passionately and fearlessly for justice for Emmett. I pledged to them a long time ago that I would do whatever I could to help them receive justice for Emmett, and I still plan to work diligently in this cause.
I've been walking in this path for a long time now. Ever since I read the story of Emmett Till when I was a young boy, and saw the horrible images of his body, I have been consumed by the desire for justice. I was born and raised in Mississippi. I have many white friends back home, but in a different time, I would have been considered to be an "uppity (n-word)" who "didn't know his place", and I would have been subjected to the same murderous brutality as Emmett Till.
I'll be the first person to tell you the Mississippi that exists today is not the same Mississippi that existed back then. However, I will also tell you that racism is very much alive and thriving, not only in Mississippi, but throughout the entire country. This is why I strongly believe that all of us who believe in equality must take bold stands against the hatred that threatens to derail all of the progress America has made.
I have spoken out many times against President Trump and how he has contributed to the division that exists in our society. But I commend his justice department for being willing and courageous enough to take another look at the circumstances surrounding the murder of Emmett Till. I hope that they will do the right thing.
There are many who will say this is nothing but a smokescreen, and that nothing substantial will come out of the Justice Department deciding to reopen the Till investigation. I strongly disagree.
I don't live in a fantasy world. I know that even though Carolyn Bryant Donham gave a confession and admitted that her lies caused the murder of Emmett, the chances of a conviction are slim to none.
But I still believe in the justice system of America. I believe in the principles that govern our country, and I know that there is a conscience deep down within America that, if we just keep digging, we will unearth it and use it to finally give justice to those who deserve it.
I challenge you, the reader, to find your conscience deep within yourself. It doesn't matter if you're white, black, Asian or Hispanic: Imagine for a moment that your 14-year-old son, 14-year-old brother, 14-year-old cousin or 14-year-old grandson had been murdered in the same manner as Emmett Till -- for nothing. Imagine your family member being kidnapped from your home, beaten, mutilated, then shot, and his body thrown in a river.
Now that you have imagined that horror, consider this: The Till family has lived in that horror. So they deserve this. The Till family survivors deserve peace. They may never find peace, but I am hopeful that the Justice Department will be able to give them at least a semblance of closure.
And even if it doesn't, this still is a step in the right direction because there's a new Emmett Till being killed in our streets everyday. The Justice Department has finally opened the door for justice for victims throughout the country.
This needs to happen. When we allow people to murder and not face any consequences in spite of evidence, what does that say about our society?
